Call for applications: Africa Fashion Up 2026
The African fashion industry is constantly evolving and a new culture is flourishing, driven by young designers eager to do things their own way. Most of them are based in Africa and compete with designers from around the world in terms of the quality and beauty of their creations; however, they still need to make a name for themselves.
Africa Fashion UP invites young talents and the best African designers, selected by a specialized international committee, to present their creations during a fashion show dedicated to them in Paris.
Awards
The selected creators will receive the following prizes:
- An invitation to present their collection at the Africa Fashion Up show during Paris Fashion Week,
- International media exposure across all our social media channels and partner media outlets
- Thematic masterclasses delivered by experts from prestigious fashion houses
- A series of exclusive visits that will allow them to immerse themselves in the heart of Parisian and international fashion.
- Participation in a business training program delivered by the renowned HEC management school
- A six-month mentoring support program
- The opportunity to display and sell their collection on an international online marketplace
Conditions for participation in Africa Fashion Up
Fashion Young Leader
- Be a young African or diaspora fashion designer.
- Be under 40 years of age
- Have designed at least two collections of women's, men's, or unisex ready-to-wear clothing.
- Have more than 2 years of experience or 2 years of existence as a brand
Best African Designer
- Being an African or diaspora fashion designer
- Have designed at least two collections of women's, men's, or unisex ready-to-wear clothing.
- The creator must be a registered business.
- Have more than 2 years of experience or 2 years of existence as a brand
- Have retailers, produce collections to sell in stores
- Already have significant visibility and a strong presence on social media, etc.
