TRAINING AND SUPPORT 2023
The aim of Africa Fashion UP is to offer winners comprehensive support that will have a lasting impact. During their stay in Paris, the five young African designers will be invited to participate in masterclasses designed to provide them with the tools and knowledge they need to develop and sustain a fashion brand.
In addition to these masterclasses, the winners will enjoy a series of visits that will immerse them in the world of Parisian and international fashion. They will also have access to business training delivered by the prestigious HEC Paris management school and will be supported for four months by Balenciaga as part of a mentoring program organized with AFUP. Finally, they will have the opportunity to exhibit and sell their collections on an international online sales platform.sell their collection on an international online sales site.
THE PARISIAN JOURNEY
From July 2 to 6, the five winners had the opportunity to participate in the following events:
Meeting with Anne Caroline and tour with the management team of Maison Guerlain and Exhibition, as well as a visit to 68 Avenue des Champs-Elysées
Private tour of Galeries Lafayette Haussmann, masterclasses, and meeting with the sales team: the Director of Customer Development and Operational Marketing, the International Sales Manager for the Middle East, Africa, and India, the Head of Luxury & Designer Ready-to-Wear Women's Purchasing, and the Head of Operational Marketing and Events for Haussmann.

Meet the Chanel team and visit participatory embroidery workshops at 19M.
Round table and debate at HEC Paris, organized by the members of the HEC International Development Club and HEC Paris.
