Biography

Nathalie Dufour is the founder of ANDAM (Association Nationale pour le Développement des Arts de la Mode), created in 1989 within the Ministry of Culture. Passionate about contemporary art, fashion, and cultural management, she began her career with an internship in the visual arts department during Jack Lang's tenure. Noticing the lack of institutional support dedicated to fashion and its young designers, she paved the way and gradually established contemporary fashion as a recognized cultural industry.

By offering the presidency of ANDAM to Pierre Bergé, a committed and visionary figure, she initiated a dynamic process that would foster the emergence of young talent, with Martin Margiela as the first winner. Under her leadership, ANDAM became a major competition bringing together manufacturers, patrons, and cultural institutions. Over the years, she brought together numerous private partners and prestigious brands, enabling the award to become an international benchmark.

For over 36 years, Nathalie Dufour has been supporting young designers, helping them to structure and develop their businesses and gain access to key industry expertise. She actively contributes to the creative and economic vitality of a constantly evolving sector, while sending a message of confidence and encouragement to new generations.
