A stylist belonging to the new generation of young French designers, appreciated by lovers of trendy and easy-to-wear clothing, Valerie Ka was born in Abidjan, where she began modeling at the age of 14 for Alphadi, the Magician of the Desert.
At an age when her friends were starting high school, she left for Paris alone and, at 16, signed a contract with Michel Levaton, founder of the Metropolitan agency and discoverer of Claudia Schiffer (among others!).
She quickly became the face of major brands such as L'Oréal, Black Up, Miss Sixty Diesel, and modeled for Saint Laurent, Dior, and Lacroix, participating in photo shoots with Azzedine Alaïa, Chantal Thomas, and others.
Having designed dresses since childhood, Valérie Ka drew inspiration from the designers with whom she had the good fortune and talent to work. "I am inspired by other designers, but also by everything I see... I look at everything and often want to apply my other passion, interior design, to people by giving them a complete makeover."
In 2004, Valerie created "VKA Design Intérieur," renowned in Paris for its refined decor that blends contemporary, chic, and understated designs.
In 2015, in Paris, the brand that bears her name was officially launched with the slogan: "JE SUIS UNE KA" (I AM A KA). "
From 2015, in Paris and then in Hong Kong, Valerie unveiled to the public a subtle and slightly offbeat chic label, with influences from around the world, always featuring a touch of ethnic style inherited from her many travels and her African origins.
