After graduating with a degree in marketing and communications, Zak Koné from Ivory Coast decided to develop his talent for designing and making clothes. Since he couldn't afford to attend a prestigious fashion school, Zak decided to learn on the job. He took courses, completed several internships with fashion designers in Abidjan, and found a mentor before opening his own studio.

Zak thus became the proud creator of the thriving Pelebe label.
